Geneva, IL, July 30, 2018 – For the 13th year in a row, FONA International has been honored as an Elite Winner in the 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For competition for its focus on its employees. The creator and manufacturer of complete taste solutions was presented with the Elite Award for Employee Enrichment, Engagement & Retention by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR).
“For 13 years, FONA has been recognized as a Best & Brightest elite winner and we couldn’t be happier,” said Human Resources Director Tonya Hubbartt. “It’s all thanks to the talent and effort of our wonderful people. What an honor for the FONA family.”
"It is with the highest regard that these Elite winners were chosen this year. We are proud to provide an opportunity for Chicago companies to showcase all they offer to their employees," said Jennifer Kluge, NABR President. “These select 13 companies acknowledge employees with competitive compensation and benefits; they place emphasis on communication, work-life balance, diversity, community initiatives, as well as other key factors.”
This comes on the heels of several other examples of prestigious recognition. In May, Forbes magazine named FONA a Small Giant, one of America’s best small companies and Fortune named FONA the #2 medium-sized workplace in Chicagoland. Fortune also ranked FONA #43 workplace nationally for the small/medium category; a Best Workplace for Millennials; and a Best Workplace for Women, among companies of any size.
The 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For award and Elite Awards honor companies that recognize employees as their greatest asset. Companies are evaluated in the areas of communication, community initiatives, compensation and benefits, diversity and multi-culturalism, employee education and development, employee engagement and commitment, recognition and retention, recruitment and selection, and work-life balance.
