Announcing Enhanced Protection for McCormick’s Intellectual Property Communications

At McCormick, safeguarding our proprietary formulas, intellectual property, and sensitive information is essential, both for our continued collaboration and innovation. To further protect the security of our confidential information, we are implementing an important enhancement to the way we protect sensitive communications.

Starting April 21, any email containing sensitive information sent externally by a McCormick employee will be protected using encryption to help ensure the confidentiality and integrity of our communication. This change not only reinforces our commitment to secure sensitive information, but it also brings added protection for all recipients.

What does this mean for you?

When you receive a sensitive email from McCormick:

  • The email will be labeled as confidential, indicating it contains protected information.
  • You may be prompted to verify your identity upon opening the message or attachments.
  • These extra security steps help ensure that only intended recipients can view the information, protecting the confidentiality of our communications, content, and material.

How to Access Protected Communications
